Why do I Feel Invisible?

How seeming small events and memories have a big impact on our lives. One woman’s life changing discovery.

Sometimes it is the smallest forgotten moment that can change your perception of yourself  and your world. That was the case for a client, Anna, who came to see me because she was feeling invisible at work. She did excellent work but had been passed over for promotions. Why did she feel so invisible and unseen? She really wanted to understand why this was happening.  And she really wanted the raise she deserved.

She shared that even when she was a child she felt like she disappeared, often into books, which were her passion. But she did not want to feel this way anymore.

With such a clear desire and goal I asked her to breath deeply and to touch into her heart-mind and to gently go back to the first time she felt this sense of being invisible.

As she closed her eyes I felt her body relax and drift back in time. She opened her eyes a few minutes later and told me this story.

She was three years old when her grandparents came for a visit. It was a hot summer day along the gulf and her older brother and sister and she were playing outside when they arrived.

Her grandparents asked if they would like to go get ice cream and promptly took the two older children out to Woolworth’s leaving my client behind. When her brother and sister returned with ice cream she was so sad and just withdrew.

As she remembered these events she realized how invisible this made her feel. She was standing right there, next to her brother and sister but her grandparents went without her-they took the hands of her siblings and they all piled into the car leaving her behind.

She never realized how hurt she had been or how invisible she felt. She shared that this seemingly small action on the part of her grandparents has really impacted her and that until this moment she had never thought of that day. But she got how this simple experience made her feel invisible at her job in the present.

She reflected that her introverted childhood was probably a reaction to not wanting to be hurt and left out again. And she understood how energetically she withdrew unknowingly to this very day in her daily life. She also laughed and said that her grandparents probably did not want to have to double team with three kids in tow.

We worked with the emotions and memories and she left my office feeling rejuvenated, confident and ready to take her place as a visible member of her team at work.

She also had the skills to care for her past self, so she would never be invisible again. And when her next job review came up she received that long awaited raise, and was seen for the capable and smart woman that she was.

As you can see it is not only the big events that impact you, small moments that you have long forgotten can be the roots of problems or challenges you are facing in your daily life. Like this woman you too can find healing and restore your self-esteem and sense of identity by working with the emotional memories you have long forgotten. Inner peace, empowerment and renewed self-confidence can be your once again.

Derailed Dreams

How Roger discovered the roots of his heart disease and cancer.

It never ceases to amaze me when I see the direct links between the wounds and disconnections from the past and how they can lead to symptoms that are both emotional and physical in the present. Recently I worked with a man, who was feeling as if his life has never been in sync. You may know this feeling. He also shared that in the last year, after decades of living a healthy lifestyle that he was diagnosed with heart disease then prostate cancer within a matter of months.

He urgently wanted to understand why this had happened, he ate well, did not drink or smoke, did not use drugs and yet here he was in chemo and radiation therapy fighting for his life. As he shared his personal story, concerns and his deep desire to feel connected a picture in my mind began to take shape. It was clear that his father was somehow involved and that this was the first place where his sense of disconnection took place. As I shared this he expressed that as a young man he wanted to be a wildlife photographer and writer. His father however had other plans for him.

Being a business mogul and a captain of industry he wanted his son to follow in his footsteps. Being the good son he did what his father desired. He went to an ivy-league school and got a business degree and MBA. Like a train derailed from its track this man’s life started to take a course that was not his own. Even thought he had used his family’s money wisely and with great altruism after his father’s death there was no satisfaction in it. It left him feeling empty.

What became crystal clear was that both his heart disease, which manifested as a alarmingly slow heart rate that the doctors said could lead to a heart attack or stroke at any time and his prostate cancer were linked to this man’s not taking the course that was his original desire in life. His heart was not in the game and was not doing what he had wanted most, to be a photographer and writer.

Connections surfaced more and more as we talked and he comprehended how his inner male energy had been disabled by this simple act of submission to his father’s desires. He saw how in essence and energy this emasculated him; just as the chemo drugs were doing now.

He saw his heart disease in a new light as well, seeing how his desire to please his father and later his friends and colleagues was often not in alignment with his own desires. He also realized how he gave away his power and male energy, which looked flattened and almost lifeless to me, by letting others take the reins and by not saying no to those he loved.

We worked thru many layers and he began to see clearly how the structures, behaviors and beliefs had affected his health and relationships. He walked away with a variety of energetic exercises and a deep sense of how he had to proceed. He felt he was in charge of his life now – not his doctors, another set of authority figures, nor his wife or business partners but himself. He could say no to things that did not resonate in his heart. And he realized what he had accomplished in his life and gave thanks for his family’s legacy and money, which allowed him to do so much for his community and family.

For years now, I have seen how symptoms are linked to the past and how events from the past can create deep schisms in your body and spirit. Finding the moments where the train was switched to another track and resolving and revisioning these moments and the patterns they create can lead to new found hope, deep release of old wounds, more harmony and peace in your life.

Empowerment and healing come when you reflect upon your past and see the energy connections that are linked to your symptoms in the present. This path of rediscovering your inner truth and moving from that deep place of truth can help you heal your life in ways you may never have imagined possible. It is yet to be seen if this man will heal from the diseases that have manifested within his body but he has a chance now to heal the disconnect he has felt so long within his heart and mind.

Psycho-energetic and somatic therapy combined with intuitive and spiritual insights can help you connect the dots and see the big picture. You can find clarity, relief, and hope, insight, empowerment and greater well-being, it is right here – within you.

How Past Life Memories Affect your Body

How past life memories and emotions shape our reality and how you can access your past lives without hypnosis.

In 1991 I witnessed for the first time in someone other than myself the extraordinary grip past life memory has upon our physical body. Lynn began experiencing an irregular heart beat in 1990 while studying massage. This irregular beat frightened her and one day it became so wild that she was rushed to the hospital with her heart racing out of control. After a barrage of tests, the doctors discovered that she had a congenital heart defect. As a massage student Lynn began to investigate her symptoms but always fell short of understanding why her heart plagued her so. Now years later, Lynn would discover the cause of her heart’s irregular and rapid beat.

As I lead Lynn’s class in a visualization exercise into their hearts, Lynn swept beyond the heart of her 30’s, 20’s and childhood. Immediately she felt cold stone under her back and saw a canopy of rain forest overhead. In that moment she relived and began to release the cause of her heart’s current symptoms. She understood how she had been affected by these memories, that were held by her heart, from another time and place.  Within a period of four months she was symptom free. I realized then that others could experience what I had and heal their most perplexing and traumatic physical problems by exploring the origins of their symptoms. My life took a dramatic turn as I realized the possible applications of what I had now seen in another person. Symptoms could be shifted as well as emotions!

Your mind, body and spirit are your profound allies in this lifetime. Using your body — you can resolve and heal your emotions and symptoms that have persisted. Your past lives shape your current reality and by accessing these memories you reinvigorate and empower yourself. You can come to know a place of deep knowing and wisdom that is alive within you as well. This is the gift of past life exploration and therapy. It is not about hypnosis or regression — you can do it yourself, for yourself and be an agent in your healing process.

Living with Pluto Square Saturn

Living with Pluto and Saturn square is not easy. Having it in my natal chart and at strong angles I can tell you firsthand, it is a challenging aspect to live with. These two energies as planets are about death, transformation the unconscious and revolution.

What we all need to remember this year, as this transit is alive in all our lives—- is to breath.  And even though events in the news may be fearful as the markets go up like a yo-yo and housing pricing dive like a surfer under a towering wave, we have to remember that we are in a revolution of spirit within the marketplace. We are moving to new uncharted ground and always when we are in these transitions anxiety will surface. This is natural, especially when the structures we have relied on and believed in falter.

Pluto in Capricorn brings the energy of transformation to the business and governmental sectors of our world. And as Pluto strips these foundations down to their bones fear is rampant. The old guard and ways of being and people stuck in these old structures panic and kick and scream. They don’t want to change and yet change is mandatory when Pluto is involved.

It is not an easy rebirth especially for those in power, who what the status quo to stay the same and be maintained. So as hard as it is, we have to not know and be okay with that. Let your frustrations go, and trust that the way will clear and we will be free to walk into the future humbled perhaps but empowered in the end.

As Pluto moves through Capricorn over the next decade the groundwork for a new government will be laid. It is out of the ashes like a Phoenix rising that we will be reborn.

Saturn will move on, later this summer and until then, know that Saturn as a wisdom energy is teaching us to slow down to be responsible and accountable. These are all good things even thought we may not like them Again it allows or empowerment to come into each of our lives.

So here’s to a collective deep breath and a counting to ten as we move into a summer of challenge and growth. Be kind yet fierce and loving to yourself and all those you met.
